Not the view through my own window, alas, but this delightful setting is in Gainsborough Old Hall, a beautifully maintained manor house in Lincolnshire owned by English Heritage.
I have some lovely photos from our latest visit to the Hall, we have been quite a few times, and with luck I’ll be able to post a few in the not-too-distant future although we still have internet issues (no signal at all for most of yesterday) and I’m still in the slow process of transferring data from the old, tired computer which is unwilling to cooperate much of the time.
Another Scottish photo here. This small village looked so picturesque nestled between the snowy mountains with the single road leading through it. Sadly, on closer inspection it wasn’t terribly attractive, appearing rather seedy and run down. We drove straight through.
I haven’t been posting lately, life gets in the way sometimes, so the camera has been pretty much mothballed. This shot, of an early morning start to a hike in Derbyshire’s Peak District three weeks ago, was taken with my phone camera. It turned out far better than I had expected it to. The fog and mist, which was very widespread, soon melted away to leave a clear, crisp autumn day, perfect for a walk.
